Heated Rivalry Is Coming to Blu-ray, DVD and 4K UHD This Fall

While we wait for more news about Heated Rivalry Season 2, including those highly anticipated casting announcements, we have a little Season 1 news to keep us busy: our favorite hockey boys are coming home with us. Literally. Alliance Home Entertainment will release the Crave Original series Heated Rivalry on Blu-ray and DVD on October 20, 2026, giving fans the chance to add all six episodes of the first season to their physical collections. The release will be followed by a limited-run 4K UHD Collector’s Edition on November 24, just in time for the holidays.

And yes, this is a Collector’s Edition we’re going to want. The 4K UHD release comes in steamy retro “VHS”-inspired packaging and includes collectible art cards, a double-sided mini poster, a “Hockey Puck” stress reliever and exclusive extras. All three physical releases include Season One, and they are available to pre-order today at national online retailers in the U.S. and Canada.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the fans who have embraced our show wholeheartedly and have been watching and rewatching it since its premiere,” said Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady of Accent Aigu Entertainment. “In many ways, the DVD release felt like the natural next step. Knowing that fans can own a piece of the series and give it a place in their collection means a great deal to us. The special features and Collector’s Edition offer even more to discover and enjoy. We hope everyone has as much fun with this release as we’ve had making the series and bringing the steamy, nostalgic look of the Collector’s Edition to life.”

So, what exactly are we getting? The 4-disc 4K UHD & Blu-ray Collector’s Edition includes all six Season One episodes in 4K Ultra High Definition and 1080p High Definition, respectively, along with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, English audio description, French 5.1 audio, French audio description and Spanish 5.1 audio options, with English, French and Spanish subtitle options. The 4K release also comes with a collection of special features, including the “Shoot Your Shot” behind-the-scenes featurettes featuring Tierney, Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, François Arnaud, Robbie G.K. and more. Fans will also get introductions from Tierney for “Rookies” and “The Cottage,” interviews with producer Brendan Brady and author Rachel Reid, a stills gallery, deleted scenes and a blooper reel. The accompanying Blu-ray includes the deleted scenes and blooper reel as extras.

Then there are the Collector’s Edition goodies, which might be enough to make us clear some shelf space immediately. The set comes with custom retro “VHS”-inspired outer and inner packaging, four collectible 4-by-5.75-inch art cards, a double-sided mini poster measuring 11.75 by 9.5 inches when unfolded, and a “Hockey Puck” stress reliever. We don’t know about you, but we have a feeling that puck is going to get a lot of use during the Season 2 waiting period.

For fans who don’t need all the bells and whistles, the 2-disc Blu-ray includes all six Season One episodes in 1080p High Definition, along with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, English audio description, French 5.1 Dolby Digital, French audio description and Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital, with English SDH, French SDH and Spanish subtitles. It also includes the deleted scenes and blooper reel. The 2-disc DVD features all six episodes in standard definition with English 5.1 Dolby Digital, English audio description, French 5.1 Dolby Digital, French audio description and Spanish 2.0 Dolby Digital, as well as English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles. The DVD also includes the deleted scenes and blooper reel.

Produced by Accent Aigu Entertainment in association with Bell Media’s Crave, Heated Rivalry was created by Jacob Tierney and is based on Rachel Reid’s bestselling Game Changers books, with Brendan Brady serving as Executive Producer. The series became a full-blown sensation following its November 2025 premiere, turning its queer hockey romance into a global fandom and a cross-demo hit. Season One is currently Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 96% critics score, while Heated Rivalry Season 2 is expected to premiere in Spring 2027.

For those of us who have been rewatching Shane (Hudson Williams) and Ilya (Connor Storrie) since Season 1 premiered, the idea of finally owning all six episodes feels pretty damn good. We’re definitely looking forward to getting our hands on one of these releases and adding it to our collections. Not that we need another excuse to rewatch Heated Rivalry, but having the series on Blu-ray, DVD and 4K UHD certainly isn’t going to stop us.

Season 1 of Heated Rivalry is available to stream on Crave (Canada), HBO Max (U.S. & Other Regions), Sky (New Zealand, UK), and Movistar Plus+ (Spain). Follow us on X and Instagram for all queer stuff!
