Heartstopper Forever First Look Gives Us Our First Glimpse at Nick and Charlie’s Final Chapter
A little over a month after it was officially announced that Heartstopper Forever—the film set to conclude Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie’s (Joe Locke) journey after three beloved seasons—would premiere globally on Netflix on July 17, the streamer has finally given fans our very first look at the upcoming movie. And yes, while we’re still mourning the fact that we’re getting a film instead of a traditional Season 4, we’re also just happy to be back in the world of Heartstopper again.
The Heartstopper Forever first look may not reveal much just yet, but at this point, we’ll gladly take whatever breadcrumbs Netflix is willing to throw our way. We’re starving over here. Anygays, even though the images don’t give away any major plot details, they do offer a comforting reminder that the heart of Heartstopper remains intact. In two of the stills, we see Nick and Charlie together, while the other two feature the pair smiling warmly toward someone off-camera. We’re choosing to believe they’re smiling at each other because, frankly, that’s the kind of emotional stability we deserve right now.
Picking up after the Season 3 finale, Heartstopper Forever continues to explore the evolving relationships at the center of the series. Nick, Charlie, and their friends have already taken major emotional steps forward, but growing up never really slows down. This final installment promises to dive deeper into what comes next for these characters as they navigate love, change, and the uncertainty that comes with entering a new chapter of life.
The official synopsis for Heartstopper Forever reads: “Nick and Charlie are inseparable, but with Nick preparing to leave for university and Charlie finding new independence at school, the reality of a long-distance relationship begins to weigh on them. While Netflix hasn’t revealed any additional plot details just yet, fans eager for more clues can always turn to Alice Oseman’s now-completed Heartstopper webcomic, which is available to read for free on Tapas. Of course, adaptations always come with a few surprises and changes along the way, and honestly, that only makes us more excited to see how this final chapter unfolds on screen.
We’re incredibly excited to see Heartstopper Forever finally make its way to us this summer. Are we emotional knowing this story is coming to an end? Absolutely. But if these characters have taught us anything over the years, it’s that love, growth, and change can all exist together. And we have a feeling this final film is going to give Nick, Charlie, and the entire Heartstopper family the heartfelt ending they deserve.
