Young Royals Season 3: Release Dates Finally Confirmed!
Hey, fam! We’ve got a major Young Royals update for y’all. Netflix has had us on the edge of our seats with the promise of Season 3 dropping sometime in March, but guess what? Today, they finally gave us the exact release dates! And yes, ‘dates’—plural!
In an unexpected plot twist, they revealed that the season will be unveiled in two parts. The first five episodes will hit our screens on March 11, and the grand finale will swoop in a week later, on March 18. *screams*
Can we talk about the emotional rollercoaster this staggered release is causing? It’s like they’re playing with our hearts, making us wait an entire week for the series finale! Is this Netflix prolonging our suffering or extending our happiness? Well, we’re choosing to see the glass half full and believe that it’s the latter. An extra week of Young Royals bliss? Yes, please!
Saying goodbye is always hard, especially when it involves characters we’ve come to love like Simon (Omar Rudberg) and Wilhelm (Edwin Ryding). Yet, given the current state of the television landscape, where LGBTQ+ stories often face premature endings, we’re popping the champagne and celebrating the fact that Young Royals gets to complete its narrative journey to its full potential. Small victories, right?
But anygays… as for the upcoming season, other than the release dates, there’s no new information about it, just that tantalizing snippet of what’s to come that we shared with y’all a few weeks ago. So we’re still here, theorizing about what consequences Wilhelm’s impactful speech will have not only on the court but on the entire school. And of course, what sacrifices Simon and Wilhelm will have to make in order to be together.
Honestly, March can’t come soon enough.
