Originally written in Chinese, the English translation made the New York Times Bestsellers list. Well, they’re back again to give fans of this series another opportunity to collect memories from this wildly popular show and they’re releasing an official art book in June of 2024.
The stunning hardcover collection is a full-color guide to the rich world of this historical fantasy. For those who may be unaware, The Untamed is a Chinese costume drama that was released back in 2019 and has since taken the world by storm. It’s the story of Lan Wangji (Wang Yibo) and Wei Wuxian (Xiao Zhan), as they struggle through adolescent feelings of love, friendship, and betrayal as they head into their adult lives only to live side-by-side as lovers and conquer the cultivation community.
The Untamed soared to success incredibly fast and was quickly scooped up by Netflix and distributed globally throughout the Western world. It has now been viewed over a whopping 9 billion times, and that number just keeps on climbing. The fans of this series are die-hard and committed to these characters and this cast.
The story was originally posted on the internet as a web novel under the name The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation by Mo Dao Zu Shi.
The Untamed: The Official Art Book (Hardcover) will be released for the first time in the English language in June 2024 for $49.99 USA / $67.99 CAN, in a large hardcover edition with a special trim size.
