Red, White & Royal Blue: First look at the upcoming rom-com

The highly anticipated film adaptation of Casey McQuiston’s novel Red, White & Royal Blue is right around the corner, and today we finally have our first official look at the upcoming rom-com. Can you hear us screaming? Because we are! We prayed to the gay gods for some #RWRB content this Pride month and they heard us!

Schedule to premiere globally on Prime Video on August 11 (save the date y’all), Red, White & Royal Blue follows the lives of Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar-Perez), the son of the President of the United States (Uma Thurman), and Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine), the charming and reserved heir to the British throne.

Alex and Henry have a long-standing rivalry fueled by their public personas and political differences. However, when an incident at a royal wedding sparks a media scandal, their respective families force them to pretend to be best friends in order to control the narrative. As they spend more time together, Alex and Henry’s animosity turns into a deep connection, and because this is a rom-com, a secret romance blossoms between them.

Set against the backdrop of international politics and the pressures of their high-profile positions, Alex and Henry navigate their relationship while facing challenges of identity, family expectations, and the fear of public scrutiny. Is their love worth the risks and sacrifices it entails?

If you read the novel, you know the answer to that question already, if you didn’t well…you’ll have to wait and stream the film this summer to see what happens between these two.

But anygays, check out the first look at Red, White & Royal Blue!

History, huh? We think they’re about to make some because if these images are anything to go by, we think that this movie will be the must-see rom-com of the summer. Mark our words.

Red, White & Royal Blue will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video on August 11. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram for all queer stuff!
