Heartstopper Season 2: Opening scene and episode titles revealed
The new season of Heartstopper is just around the corner (August 3, save the date), and as part of Netflix’s TUDUM event taking place today in São Paulo, Brazil, the streaming service shared the opening scene of the very first episode of the new season along with the titles of the eight episodes that will make up Season 2.
Yes, folks! Nick, Charlie, and the whole gang are back! We have the opening scene! And we have the episode titles! Can you hear us screaming? Because we are! We’ve missed these kids so much!
But anygays, in the clip introduced by Corinna Brown (who plays Tara) and Kizzy Edgell (who plays Darcy) we see a very cheerful Charlie (Joe Locke) waking up to a text from his boyfriend Nick (Kit Connor). The two can’t seem to stop texting each other as they anxiously await to meet up again in class. The brief scene ends when Charlie arrives at the classroom looking for Nick in his usual spot, but the chair that his boyfriend usually occupies is empty. As disappointment at Nick’s absence begins to settle on Charlie’s face, a pair of strong rugby hands gently cover his eyes. And in true Heartstopper fashion, the two exchange a sweet ‘Hi’. *swoons*
But please don’t take our words for granted and just check out the clip below. We promise y’all will love it!
As we already mentioned, in addition to the opening scene, Netflix revealed the titles of the 8 episodes that will make up the new season. The title are:
- “Out”
- “Family”
- “Promise”
- “Challenge”
- “Heat”
- “Truth/Dare”
- “Sorry”
- “Perfect”
Adapted from the graphic novel series by creator Alice Oseman, Heartstopper follows Charlie, a gay student at Trumar Grammar School who falls in love with his classmate, rugby player, Nick.
According to the official press statement, in Heartstopper Season 2, Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor), now official boyfriends, will have to learn to navigate their new relationship; Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) will face unforeseen challenges, and Tao (Will Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney) will work out if they can ever be more than just friends. With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris, and a prom to plan, the gang has a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love, and friendship.
Honestly, August 3 can’t be here soon enough!
