Club Kid Trailer Gives Us Our First Look at Jordan Firstman’s A24 Directorial Debut

The Club Kid trailer is finally here, and we have our first proper look at Jordan Firstman’s feature directorial debut ahead of its theatrical release this fall.

Written and directed by Firstman, Club Kid follows Peter, a hard-partying New York City club promoter whose life is suddenly turned upside down when his 10-year-old son, Arlo (Reggie Absolom), arrives. The catch? Peter had no idea he even had a son. His unexpected arrival forces Peter to put his nightlife-fueled lifestyle aside and figure out how to become a father.

The new trailer gives us a much better idea of what we can expect from the film, showing Peter attempting to adjust to fatherhood while still very much being Peter. There are plenty of parties and questionable decisions, but we also get glimpses of the developing relationship between Peter and Arlo, giving us a sense that Club Kid isn’t afraid to mix its chaotic comedy with some more serious emotional moments.

We also get our first look at Cara Delevingne and Diego Calva in the film, alongside a stacked cast that includes Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Colleen Camp, Miss Benny, Vicki Pepperdine, Nigil Whyte, Eldar Isgandarov, Saturn Risin9, and Alaska Riley. With Firstman also taking on the lead role, there are plenty of LGBTQ+ familiar faces joining him for this very unexpected journey into fatherhood.

Club Kid made its debut at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, where it quickly caught the attention of distributors before A24 acquired the film’s worldwide rights. Now, the studio is bringing Firstman’s film to theaters this fall, following its festival run and giving audiences a chance to see what the filmmaker has been working on.

And after knowing relatively little about Club Kid for so long, having an actual trailer to dissect is pretty exciting. We get the New York nightlife, the unexpected father-son relationship, a very busy social calendar, and a cast that gives us plenty of reasons to keep this one on our radar.
