Heated Rivalry’s Viral Fleece Jacket Drops June 3
Fans of Heated Rivalry better start preparing their wallets now, because the long-awaited fleece jacket inspired by the series is finally becoming a reality. Accent Aigu Entertainment and Province of Canada officially announced that pre-orders for the limited-edition collectible fleece will open on June 3 at 12:00 p.m. EDT exclusively through the brand’s website—and this is shaping up to be one of the most exciting pieces of queer TV merch we’ve seen in a while.
Originally seen in season one, episode two, as part of the Canadian team uniform worn by Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams), the fleece quickly became one of the standout pieces from the series. Fans immediately latched onto it across social media, and now that demand is finally being answered with an official release designed specifically as a collector’s item for the fandom.
Even better? This release is tied to a genuinely meaningful cause. Ten percent of net profits from every fleece jacket sold will go to You Can Play, the nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion and belonging in sports. On top of that, both the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association will each match contributions up to $25,000 CAD, bringing the total potential donation support to $50,000 CAD.

That alone makes this feel bigger than just another merch drop. Heated Rivalry has always resonated with audiences because of the way it places queer love within the hypermasculine world of professional hockey, and seeing this release directly support LGBTQ+ inclusion in sports feels perfectly aligned with the heart of the series itself.
The fleece was created in collaboration with costume designer Hanna Puley and manufactured in Canada using thoughtfully sourced materials. According to Province of Canada, the piece was designed with sustainability, quality, and longevity in mind, making it feel less like standard promotional merch and more like a wearable keepsake for fans of Shane and Ilya’s (Connor Storrie) story.

For anyone planning to grab one, there are a few important details to keep in mind. The jacket will only be available through pre-orders starting June 3, final design details will not be revealed until launch day, and quantities will be extremely limited on a first-come, first-served basis. Orders are also limited to one fleece per customer due to expected demand.
The fleece jacket will be available in unisex sizing ranging from XS to 5XL, with shipping currently planned for between October 1 and October 15. Shipping within Canada will be free, while U.S. orders will cost $25 CAD. International shipping rates will vary depending on the country. At the moment, orders will be available for customers in the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
And yes, we already know some fans outside those regions are probably hoping for expanded availability. As of now, no additional countries or a second batch have been announced, but if any updates arrive regarding restocks, expanded shipping, or future releases, we’ll absolutely keep y’all updated as soon as possible.
This is one of those rare fandom releases where the emotional connection behind the item matters just as much as the jacket itself. Not only are fans getting a tangible piece tied directly to one of Heated Rivalry’s most memorable visual details, but every purchase also contributes to making sports safer and more welcoming for LGBTQ+ people. If you’ve been wanting a piece of Heated Rivalry memorabilia and you’re able to afford it, this might genuinely be the moment to jump on it before it disappears.
Pre-orders for the limited edition Fleece Jacket will be available starting June 3. Heated Rivalry is available to stream on Crave (Canada), HBO Max (U.S. & Other Regions), Sky (New Zealand, UK), and Movistar Plus+ (Spain). Follow us on X and Instagram for all queer stuff!
