Kick Off Your Weekend with Boy Blu’s ‘Visions’

Hey everyone! Remember when Boy Blu had us grooving non-stop to his tech house collab with Gregory Dillon, 2 Deadly? Well, he’s back at it again with another track that’ll make you want to hit the dance floor ASAP. Introducing Visions, a song that pulls us into his world where underground electro meets Dune-inspired vibes.

Produced by electro-pop whiz Gregory Dillon, Visions is a killer mix of fantasy and modern queer pop. It’s a beat-heavy track that’s perfect for anyone who loves sci-fi dance music. Boy Blu says the lyrics come from a deeply personal story about abandonment and the pain of seeing a loved one everywhere you go. Inspired by artists who can mix emotional lyrics with powerful dance beats, Boy Blu adds, “There’s something special about dancing while singing the saddest words. ‘Visions’ makes me want to cry and dance at the same time.”

But wait, there’s more!

Boy Blu didn’t just drop a song; he released a stunning music video too. The video kicks off with the line: “Visions are echoes of the soul, reflections of what was, what is, and what may come.” That sets the stage for an immersive journey through Blu’s sci-fi and pop-inspired imagination.

Directed by Logan Powaski and choreographed by Jesse Fields, the video has a brutalist aesthetic with futuristic, desert-armored outfits and a hint of queer House influence—totally giving off those Dune vibes. The powerful dance moves and storyline perfectly capture the essence of the song.

On the video’s concept and creative team, Boy Blu says, “In Dune: Part Two, the Harkonnen world exploration blew us away. The director and I were especially inspired by the infrared scenes on the Harkonnen planet. For the video, we started with a black-and-white look and gradually added blue tones to match the song’s energy. We wanted to combine chaotic, powerful dance with a real narrative of feeling abandoned.”

So, what are you waiting for? Watch the video below and let’s dance our way through this Friday with Boy Blu’s Visions

You can find Visions on all music streaming platforms. We’ll be jamming to this one until it’s time to grab a drink after work. Cheers to new music and the weekend!
