Young Royals S3 Ep2: The Juiciest Moments of the Second Episode
Alright, folks, it’s been a hot minute since the last season of Young Royals hit Netflix with its first 5 episodes. Are you ready to dive into the juiciest moments of Young Royals S3 Ep2? Because trust us, there’s a lot to unpack here!
First up, Hillerska might as well be a high-security prison now. With curfews tighter than a drum, extracurricular activities on indefinite hiatus, and those crazy phone restrictions—in Young Royals S3 Ep2, students are feeling the squeeze. But hold onto your hats, because amidst the chaos, a glimmer of hope emerges in the form of a camping trip.
Yes, you heard that right—we’re going camping! Who’s up for an adventure?
But before we pack our sleeping bags and head into the woods, we need to give our report on the gay front, because, let’s face it, that’s what we’re all here for. And Young Royals S3 Ep2 is a service to the community for many reasons. The episode doesn’t hold back on the heartwarming (and occasionally angsty) moments between our favorite duo, Wille (Edvin Ryding) and Simon (Omar Rudberg). They kiss, talk, fight, exist, and have their disagreements like any other couple—it’s everything we could ever want. But there’s more! Young Royals S3 Ep2 hints at the possibility of a new rainbow couple. And let’s just say, we’re totally here for it!
This episode kicks off with Wille and Simon attempting to sneak in some intimate time over the phone during their weekend apart. But just as things are reaching a crescendo, Wille’s phone privileges at school run out, causing their moment to end abruptly–a bucket of ice water. So with the universe conspiring against them, Wille pulls a pretty surprising move that catches more than one person off guard–including his boyfriend.
And while yes, there are conflicts, fights, and drama (it wouldn’t be an episode of Young Royals if there weren’t any), Young Royals S3 Ep2 also offers a lot of moments that stand out. So here are the ones that, in our opinion, managed to steal the show.
Online harassment—a real and mentally draining thing
Alright, let’s talk about Simon. You know, in this neck of the woods, we’re all about Simon (and Wille, but let’s keep the focus here) and right now our hearts break for this kid. After Wille’s speech, Simon’s been dealing with some serious online harassment. We saw it in S3 Ep1, the anger and frustration at the words people throw at him—he laid it all out to his friends. But in S3 Ep2, things take a turn for the worse.
Now, Simon isn’t just dealing with online trolls hurling insults and making unfounded accusations against him while hiding behind their screens. Nope, he’s getting called out in public too. There’s a scene where a couple of girls whisper about him on the bus as soon as they recognize him. Kind of hard to deal with when all you want is to get home, right? Well, it doesn’t end there. Simon’s coming home to hate mail and even unsolicited church pamphlets. Speaking from experience we can share that dealing with the toxicity of that particular fandom isn’t exactly a walk in the park.
But here’s the thing: Simon’s struggle to brush off the haters isn’t just a personal battle—it’s a reflection of the times, a reminder of the toxic underbelly of social media and the pervasive culture of online harassment. We’re all swimming in the social media sea, but not everyone’s equipped to face the waves. For this new generation, social media isn’t just a tool; it’s a way of life. And while it can be a source of connection, it’s also a breeding ground for hate. Seeing one of our favorite characters trapped in these treacherous waters hits us right in the feels, leaving us wishing we could swoop in and shield him from the storm.
Wille and Simon’s cute but insightful chat in the music room
Do y’all know what makes this scene stand out in S3 Ep2 besides the obvious conversation? That it feels like we’ve finally exorcised the demons lurking in that damn room. For the first time in forever, Wille and Simon aren’t at each other’s throats while being there. They’re talking, and laughing, and smiling. Are we dreaming?
Seriously, it’s practically become a running gag at this point—every time these two set foot in that room, they leave with steam coming out of their ears. So it feels like a miracle to see them having a civilized, drama-free conversation for once. Can we call this a win? It may be too soon to tell, but dang it, it sure feels like a step in the right direction.
But let’s dig deeper into the nitty-gritty of their conversation, shall we? Because it’s not just cute, it’s insightful too. Wille opens up to Simon about feeling guilty for the turmoil at school. Yet, Simon flips the script, reminding Wille that the fallout from his speech isn’t bad at all—it’s sparked a much-needed conversation about the toxic culture at Hillerska. And hey, if the school ends up closing because of it? Well, that’s on the institution, not Wille.
However, Wille is not as optimistic as Simon. He frets about the possibility of the school closing, fearing it’ll keep them apart. And that’s where things take a turn from mature to downright adorable. Simon jokingly asks Wille if the only reason he’s with him is because they go to the same school, to which Wille responds with a ‘no,’ and a smile that we know is reserved only for Simon. Talk about cute overload!
It’s moments like these that truly warm the cockles of our hearts, folks. Seeing those smiles on their face? Priceless. They’re just so darn cute together, and we can’t get enough of it!
Wille’s big romantic move
Remember when we mentioned that despite the universe playing against them, Wille pulled a surprising move that caught everyone off guard—including his boyfriend? Well, brace yourselves for some serious heart-melting action. Wille’s big move? He ditched the rowing team to join the choir, all to spend more time with Simon. Cue the collective “awwww”!
Earlier in the episode, Wille tried to lure Simon back to the rowing team so they could hang out during practices. But with August lurking around, Simon declined the offer. So what does our lovestruck prince do? He takes matters into his own hands and says goodbye to the rowing team, opting to serenade Simon in the choir room instead. Talk about pulling out all the stops for love!
And let’s not overlook the heart-melting moment that follows. Once choir practice wraps up, Simon, still clinging to Wille like an octopus (seriously, these two are inseparable this season), expresses surprise at Wille’s newfound interest in singing. But leave it to Wille to steal our hearts with his honest admission: he may not be a fan of singing, but listening to Simon’s voice? It’s pure bliss.
Witnessing these two spend every possible minute together, basking in the freedom of being out and proud, warms our hearts. This season has given them the chance to live their teenage dreams openly. And call us biased, but in S3 Ep2 Wille and Simon seem to be living them more fully than anyone else.
What a rave! But wait! New couple alert?
Now, the rave at the camping site may have had its fair share of ups and downs, but you know us—we’re all about focusing on the bright side of things! And trust us, there’s plenty of rainbow-colored goodness to go around.
First up on the happiness meter? Seeing Simon and Wille hit the dance floor together, letting loose and soaking in the joyous atmosphere. It’s a sight to behold, folks. We mean, up until this season, these two haven’t exactly had the chance to flaunt their love in front of their classmates. But now? They’re positively glowing in their queer glory, and we couldn’t be happier for them!
But guess what? They weren’t the only ones painting the dance floor with the colors of the rainbow. Nope, there’s another duo on the scene that’s got us buzzing with excitement: Stella and Rosh. Yes, Stella and Rosh—Simon’s best friend. Can you believe it?
Now, let’s set the scene: the students of Marieberg were camping nearby, and when they caught wind of the music, they couldn’t resist joining the party. After a bit of hesitation, especially from Wille’s security detail, the Marieberg crew were given the green light to join in on the fun. And boy, did they make the most of it!
Amidst the pulsating beats and swaying bodies, Stella and Rosh exchanged glances and hit the dance floor together. Now, here’s the kicker: Stella’s heart beats for Fredrika, we all know that, but her fear of jeopardizing their friendship holds her back. Could her newfound interest in Rosh help her overcome these reservations? Ah, the plot thickens!
But wait, there’s more. When Fredrika spotted Stella getting cozy with Rosh, her reaction was anything but thrilled. Was it merely a case of missing her bestie’s attention, or could there be deeper feelings at play? Only time will tell, folks. Now, if you ask us, we’re rooting for Rosh and Stella to explore this newfound connection further. Who knows? There might just be something magical brewing between them. All we’re saying is, there’s undeniable potential there.
And there you have it—the juiciest moments from Young Royals S3 Ep2. Now, excuse us while we binge-watch S3 Ep3 for the umpteenth time—that episode is among our top favorites this season.
