Saying Goodbye to Young Royals: A Fan Tribute to Ayub and Rosh – Simon’s Ride-or-Die Gang

As we prepare to say goodbye to Young Royals, there’s a wave of mixed emotions washing over us. Amongst the myriad of feelings, there’s a poignant sadness in knowing we’ll soon be parting ways with some of the show’s most beloved supporting characters, none more so perhaps than Ayub (Inti Zamora Sobrado) and Rosh (Beri Gerwise) – the dynamic duo who’ve been Simon’s unwavering support system since day one.

From the very beginning, one of the things that resonated deeply with us about Young Royals was witnessing Simon (Omar Rudberg), a half-Latino queer kid, surrounded by such a strong support system. While his mother and his sister also played a crucial role in his life, Ayub and Rosh represented his chosen family – the ones who stood by him through thick and thin.

We have to confess that since we posted the graphic so that y’all could share your goodbyes with Ayub and Rosh, it’s been nothing short of heartwarming to witness the outpouring of love and adoration they’ve received from fans far and wide. Their send-offs have been beautiful and emotional, a testament to the profound impact they’ve had on all our hearts and the collective consciousness of the Young Royals fandom.

Ayub, with his quiet strength and infectious humor, never failed to bring a smile to our faces. His jokes, whether to tease Simon about his crush on Wille (Edvin Ryding) or to lighten the mood when things got heavy, were the glue that held their friendship together. As one reader put it, Ayub’s presence was like a comforting embrace – a warmth that reminded you that you weren’t alone.

And then there’s Rosh – bold, brazen Rosh. A force to be reckoned with, her unapologetic authenticity and unwavering loyalty made her an indispensable member of Simon’s crew. Part of our rainbow team (yay lesbians!), she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind or call out BS when she saw it. It’s no wonder one fan affectionately dubbed her the “queen of real talk.”

But perhaps what resonated most with fans about these two was the palpable connection they shared with Simon. As one reader astutely observed, they possessed an innate ability to communicate with a mere glance, a silent language forged through years of shared experiences and unbreakable bonds of friendship. It’s a rare and precious gift, one that speaks volumes about the enduring power of true friendship.

And y’all know what they say, credit where credit is due, and Ayub and Rosh wouldn’t be among fan favorites if it weren’t for the brilliant actors who brought them to life. The undeniable chemistry between Inti Zamora Sobrado and Beri Gerwise breathed life into Ayub and Rosh with unparalleled authenticity. Their performances, whether together or apart, were nothing short of mesmerizing, drawing us into the inner sanctum of Simon’s world and making us feel like honorary members of their little gang.

Saying goodbye to Ayub and Rosh feels like saying goodbye to dear friends – friends who’ve laughed with us, cried with us, and taught us the true meaning of loyalty. But as we reflect on their impact, we take comfort in knowing that the lessons they have taught us will live in our hearts forever.

Here’s to Ayub and Rosh – two of the most important pillars in Simon’s life. May your friendship serve as a guiding light for us all, reminding us of the power of love, acceptance, and unconditional support. Until we meet again, dear friends.
