Brazilian LGBTQ+ Romance ‘Here The Whole Time’ Gets Netflix Trailer
If there’s one genre we’ll never get tired of, it’s a heartfelt queer coming-of-age story. Lucky for us, Netflix has just released the official trailer for Here The Whole Time (Quinze Dias), a Brazilian romantic drama that looks ready to deliver plenty of awkward first crushes, emotional growth, and the kind of butterflies that only a first love can bring.
Based on Vitor Martins’ beloved 2017 novel Quinze Dias, the film is directed by Daniel Lieff and stars Miguel Lallo, Diego Lira, Débora Falabella, Mika Soeiro, Bel Moreira, Mariana Santos, Olívia Araújo, Márcio Vito, and João Pedro Chaseliov.
Here The Whole Time follows Felipe, a gay teenager who spends his school days dealing with bullying and struggling with his body image. With the July school break finally around the corner, he’s hoping for a chance to escape the pressures of everyday life. Those plans quickly change when his mother reveals that their neighbor Caio—who also happens to be Felipe’s longtime secret crush—will be staying with them for fifteen days while his parents are away.
What begins as an unexpected inconvenience soon turns into something much more meaningful as the two teenagers embark on a journey of self-discovery, vulnerability, and first love.
The newly released trailer gives us our first real look at that journey, teasing plenty of sweet moments between Felipe and Caio while hinting at the emotional obstacles that stand in their way.
