Netflix Renews The Four Seasons for Season 3

Pack your bags once again because The Four Seasons isn’t going anywhere. Netflix has officially renewed the hit comedy series for a third season, ensuring we’ll get even more vacations, friendship drama, heartfelt moments, and laughs from one of television’s most lovable groups of friends.

The announcement was made during the BANFF World Media Festival, where Netflix confirmed that The Four Seasons will return for an eight-episode third season. The renewal comes after another strong showing for the series, which has continued to attract viewers around the world and maintain a spot among Netflix’s most-watched titles.

Created by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield, The Four Seasons follows a close-knit group of longtime friends whose tradition of vacationing together each season serves as the backdrop for stories about friendship, marriage, grief, personal growth, and the sometimes messy reality of maintaining relationships over the years.

One of the things we’ve loved most about The Four Seasons from the very beginning is the way it treats all of its relationships with equal importance. In a television landscape where LGBTQ+ couples are still too often pushed to the sidelines, Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude (Marco Calvani) are allowed to exist as a fully realized couple within the heart of the story. Their relationship isn’t presented as an afterthought or a token inclusion. Instead, it’s woven naturally into the fabric of the series alongside the show’s other romances, giving audiences the chance to see a queer couple navigate life, love, and friendship with the same depth and complexity as everyone else.

That kind of representation matters, and it’s part of what makes seeing The Four Seasons continue for another season feel especially exciting.

The creative team behind the series is equally thrilled about the renewal. In a statement, co-creators and co-showrunners Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield said, “We are thrilled to be able to bring a third season of The Four Seasons to life. Thank you to everyone who watched. Middle-aged people, LFG!”

Netflix Vice President of US Comedy Tracey Pakosta also celebrated the news, saying, “It’s been a joy watching the chaotic, beautiful journey of these lifelong friends. Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield have a magical way of blending heart and sharp humor, making us feel like part of the inner circle. Audiences have fallen in love with these characters and this legendary cast’s electric chemistry. We’re thrilled to keep the vacation going for Season 3.”

While details about Season 3 remain under wraps for now, we’re already looking forward to seeing where the next trip takes this group of friends.

If you’ve somehow missed The Four Seasons so far, now feels like the perfect time to catch up before the next season arrives. And if you’re already a fan, consider this your excuse to revisit the first two seasons and spend a little more time with one of television’s most charming friend groups.
