Tyler Perry’s A Madea Homecoming gets just a little bit gay

This February Tyler Perry’s Madea returns to Netflix with Tyler Perry’s A Madea Homecoming for another round of neighborhood shenanigans. This marks the twelfth film in the franchise and this installment tells the story of Madea (Tyler Perry) as she brings her family together again to celebrate her great-grandson’s college graduation. However, the celebratory moment hits a halt as hidden secrets and family drama threaten to destroy the happy return.

Watch the official trailer here:

Tamela Mann, David Mann, and Cassi Davis Patton all return with Perry to reprise their roles, joined by Gabrielle Dennis, Brendan O’Carroll, Brandon Black, and Isha Blaaker.

But why has Tyler Perry’s A Madea Homecoming gotten just a little bit gay?  Because Brandon Black’s character, Tim, is the first openly gay character to join the Madea franchise. Yes, folks! We’re getting queer rep!
