Heartbreak High Season 2: Class is in Session Again!

Great news, everyone! Class is in session again and the halls of Hartley High are about to get even wilder. Netflix just announced that Heartbreak High Season 2 will hit our screens globally on April 11! The tagline for this season? “New term, new mistakes.”

*screams*

So y’all better dust off those backpacks because Term Two at Hartley High is about to kick off, promising more drama, laughs, and, of course, chaos.

So, what’s the tea on Season 2? Well, not much yet, but here’s the official lowdown: “All our heroes are back for Term Two at the “lowest ranking school in the district.” But fresh hotties, a new sports teacher, and a mystery assailant throw any hopes for a peaceful term into disarray, while the race for school captain is seeing dirty tactics run rife through Hartley High. Yep… It’s Term 2 bitches, and it’s more chaotic than ever.”

*screams again*

Honestly, they had us at fresh hotties, but certainly, the addition of a new sports teacher and a mystery assailant is throwing any hopes for a peaceful term out the window. And don’t even get us started on the race for school captain – dirty tactics galore!

A new term means new faces, and we’re living for it! Thanks to Uncle Netflix, we know that Angus Sampson (known for Furiosa, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Fargo), joins the teaching squad as the Head of P.E. His character? Timothy Voss, an uber-masculine sports teacher set to shake things up at Hartley High.

Among the students, we’ve got Sam Rechner as Rowan Callaghan, an unassuming country boy thrown into the chaos; and Kartanya Maynard as Zoe Clarke, an opinionated celibacy advocate causing a stir within the SLT class.

But don’t worry, the OGs are back too! Rachel House and Chika Ikogwe return as Woodsy and Jojo, holding down the fort as the dedicated staff of Heartbreak High. And of course, all our faves are making a comeback – Ayesha Madon, Chloé Hayden, Thomas Weatherall, James Majoos, Asher Yasbincek, Will McDonald, Gemma Chua-Tran, Bryn Chapman Parish, Sherry-Lee Watson, Brodie Townsend, and Josh Heuston.

Produced by Fremantle Australia and NewBe, Season 2 was filmed in the vibrant and diverse landscapes of Sydney, including Gadigal, Dharug, Dharawal, Ku-ring-gai, and Gundugarra lands.

As the excitement builds, we’re eagerly awaiting April 11 to witness the return of Hartley High. Season 2 has big shoes to fill after the success of its predecessor, but if what we know so far about the new season is any indication, we’re in for a thrilling ride. Get ready, folks – Term Two is about to begin! Officially, class is in session again!
