Brian Falduto Partners With Glisten to Help LGBTQ+ Youth ‘Run Wild’
Brian Falduto is back with Run Wild, his latest single and a heartfelt message to his younger self and LGBTQ+ youth. Released on October 23, the song also marks the final preview of his upcoming EP, I Could Be Happy, arriving November 13. This time, Falduto is taking his message beyond the music by partnering with Glisten, a national education organization working to make schools safer for LGBTQ+ students.
Run Wild reflects on growing up, learning to hide parts of ourselves, and finding the courage to let those parts shine again. Falduto describes the track as a personal letter to the child he once was, offering the reassurance that he no longer needs to hide to protect himself. It’s a message that can resonate with queer listeners who have struggled to feel accepted, especially those still figuring out how to express themselves in environments that don’t always make room for them.

The partnership with Glisten gives that message a meaningful connection to the lives of LGBTQ+ youth today. By helping young people find safer school environments where they can be themselves, the organization works toward a future in which fewer queer kids feel they need to suppress who they are. Listeners can learn more about Glisten’s work and find ways to support the organization through its official website.
We’ve previously covered Falduto’s releases Free Coffee and You’re Tacky & I Hate You, the latter drawing on his memorable role as Billy, also known as Fancy Pants, in School of Rock. With Run Wild, he turns the conversation inward, reflecting on the kid audiences remember and the experiences that shaped the person he became.
As Falduto explains, the song also offers a message to those who connected with his expressive younger self on screen: “And for anyone who ever felt empowered by that expressive, flamboyant kid on screen, I hope this song reminds you that you don’t have to hide yourself away, either. It’s time to run wild.”

We can listen to Run Wild now on streaming platforms everywhere and look forward to hearing the full story unfold when I Could Be Happy arrives November 13.
