Lestat de Lioncourt Is Going on Tour (Kind Of) with ‘The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only’ Event

Today at the AMC Upfronts (aka the annual industry showcase where networks tease their upcoming slate and biggest campaigns), AMC proved once again that when it comes to The Vampire Lestat, they’re not just promoting a show, but building an entire experience. Case in point: their newest artist, French vampire Lestat de Lioncourt, is officially going on tour.

Or at least, he’s making one very iconic stop.

As part of the show’s rollout, AMC announced The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only – LIVE, a special event landing June 2 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Designed as the final stop on Lestat’s fictional North American tour, the night promises to fully immerse fans in his rockstar era. Because why settle for watching Lestat on screen when you can (almost) experience him live?

The evening begins with an exclusive premiere screening of The Vampire Lestat, giving fans their first look at this highly anticipated chapter. But that’s just the opening act. Once the credits roll, Lestat himself will take the stage—yes, via Sam Reid serving as his very willing vessel—for a live performance featuring original music by series composer Daniel Hart.

And if AMC’s description is anything to go by, this won’t be your average TV tie-in event. They’re calling it “a cathedral of chaos,” a space where the lines between concert, storytelling, and temptation blur into one decadent, fang-forward spectacle. It’s giving theatrical. It’s giving unhinged. It’s giving exactly the kind of queer, dramatic excess that makes Lestat such an enduring icon.

In a move that feels very “Lestat choosing his favorites,” the event will be free, but only for those who manage to secure tickets through a request system opening May 6 at midnight ET (9 p.m. PT). It’s the classic 1iota lottery situation, so consider this your official reminder to start manifesting now.

The “tour” is also bringing some very on-brand collaborators along for the ride. POM Wonderful returns to the Interview with the Vampire universe with in-world ads featuring Lestat promoting a suspiciously familiar ruby-red beverage, while Fender Musical Instruments Corporation will debut four custom Player II Modified Stratocaster guitars—the Fender Limited Edition LeStrat Stratocaster HSS—throughout the season.

Interview with the Vampire has one of the most devoted fandoms in television, and this season’s campaign is built for them,” said Kim Granito, Chief Marketing Officer of AMC Global Media. “The Beacon event is one of many touchpoints designed to celebrate the deep connection they have to these characters and the world they love.”

And that’s really what makes this entire rollout hit. It understands the assignment. It knows that loving this show has always been about more than just watching; it’s about feeling pulled into its orbit, into the chaos, the longing, and in this season, the performance of it all. And now, for one night only, that fantasy becomes just a little more real.

We’ll be watching this one very closely and doing everything we can to be in the room when it all goes down—purely in the name of journalism, of course. In the meantime, to everyone submitting for tickets: good luck, stay strong, and may the odds (and Lestat’s attention span) be ever in your favor.

Because if you do get that confirmation, just know you’re not simply attending an event; you’ve been personally welcomed onto Lestat’s guest list. And knowing him, that’s equal parts invitation and warning. Proceed accordingly.

Tickets for The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only – LIVE will be available on May 6. The Vampire Lestat will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, June 7 at 9 pm ET/PT. Seasons 1 and 2 of Interview With the Vampire are available to stream on AMC+ (US only), Netflix, and Prime Video (depending on the region). Follow us on X and Instagram for all queer stuff!
