The XO, Kitty Season 3 Trailer Is Here—And Yes, Kitty’s Senior Year Is Already Full of Chaos
Last month, Netflix gave us our first official look at XO, Kitty Season 3, and confirmed that the series will return on April 2. But now, with the premiere just a month away, the streaming giant has dropped the next big tease for fans. That’s right, the XO, Kitty Season 3 Trailer is finally here, and it looks like senior year at KISS is about to be anything but chill.
In the nearly two-minute video, we catch up with our favorite matchmaking bi queen, Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart), as she heads back to the Korean Independent School of Seoul for her final year. And because this is Kitty we’re talking about, she’s already come prepared with a plan. Actually, scratch that, she’s come prepared with a list. Enter the Senior Sunset List (yes, that’s the official name).
Kitty wants to make the most of her last year in Korea, which means figuring out where she’s applying for college, celebrating a proper Chuseok with her Korean family, making unforgettable memories with her friends, and—perhaps most importantly—finally defining her relationship with Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee). And honestly? It’s about time.

Part of what makes Kitty such a refreshing protagonist is that she embraces every part of who she is, including her bisexuality. Seeing that identity explored on a show like XO, Kitty still feels meaningful, especially in a teen rom-com world that hasn’t always made space for bi leads. So yes, we’re proudly team Kitty in every possible scenario. Whether she’s crushing on Yuri or navigating her very complicated feelings for Min Ho, we’re rooting for her happiness first and foremost. But let’s be real, ever since Season 1, the show has been dropping plenty of hints that Min Ho might just be the person for her.
But okay, back to the trailer before we spiral into full ship discourse.
The XO, Kitty Season 3 Trailer gives us a glimpse of what happens when Kitty decides to finally confront her feelings, and, well, things get messy. At one point, she seemingly downplays her relationship with Min Ho as just friendship, which doesn’t exactly land well. Mixed signals start flying, feelings get hurt, and it looks like Min Ho may be leaning into his old “center of attention” habits to cope.
There’s also a tense moment between the two that suggests their unresolved feelings are finally reaching a boiling point. Kitty herself even admits that her timing tends to be… less than ideal. Honestly, she may be a matchmaking genius for everyone else, but when it comes to her own love life? Our girl is a disaster. A lovable disaster, but still.
And when everything starts to feel too overwhelming, Kitty does what any younger sister would do: she calls Lara Jean (Lana Condor).

What she doesn’t expect (though we absolutely did after that tease Netflix dropped last week) is for Lara Jean to hop on a plane and show up in Seoul. The trailer teases a heartfelt Covey sister reunion, with Lara Jean offering Kitty some classic big-sister wisdom: no matter what happens with Min Ho, she can’t stop living her life. She has to trust her heart and believe that it will lead her to her next great adventure.
And honestly, seeing these two sisters together again just feels right.
Lana Condor, who famously played the endlessly romantic Lara Jean Covey in the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before films, recently spoke to Netflix’s Tudum about returning to the franchise. “It’s such a joy to be able to come back and see Anna,” Condor said of reuniting with Anna Cathcart. “I think she did an amazing job creating the XO, Kitty world. It’s such a dream to be able to work with her again. I feel really excited and happy and honored I get to be back.”
Even better? Netflix has confirmed that Condor will appear in several episodes this season, meaning this reunion will be much more than a quick cameo.

As we’ve previously shared, Season 3 follows Kitty as she returns to K.I.S.S., determined to make her senior year count. She plans to build stronger connections with her Korean family, create lasting memories with her friends, and make some very big decisions about her future. And yes, she’s determined to finally define her relationship with Min Ho. For real this time.
But if there’s one thing we’ve learned from watching Kitty Song Covey navigate love, friendship, and identity, it’s that things rarely go according to plan. When surprising revelations start throwing her carefully organized list into chaos, Kitty will have to learn to embrace the unexpected.
