Heartstopper Volume 6 Cover Revealed as the End of the Series Draws Near
It’s really happening: Heartstopper Volume 6 is on its way, and with it comes the official beginning of the end. As 2026 looms, marking the conclusion of both the TV adaptation and the original graphic novel journey, we can’t ignore the bittersweet reality that our time with Nick and Charlie is wrapping up. And now, with the reveal of the Heartstopper Volume 6 cover, that ending feels more real than ever.
Alice Oseman took to Instagram to unveil the cover for the sixth and final volume of the beloved series, sharing not just the artwork but the emotions behind it. “Drawing and designing this cover while knowing it’s the last one was toughhhhhh,” Oseman wrote. “There were many different avenues I explored, but a kiss always felt like the right choice. Now the set is complete.”
We’re not crying, you are.

Choosing a kiss to close out the series feels intentional in the best way. Heartstopper has always centered queer tenderness—the soft, everyday intimacy that so many LGBTQ+ teens rarely get to see reflected back at them. To end the saga visually with affection, closeness, and love feels like a reminder of what this story has always stood for.
Heartstopper Volume 6 will be released on July 2, and pre-orders are already available. For fans who have been collecting the series from the very beginning, this final installment completes the full six-volume set. There’s something deeply satisfying and deeply emotional about knowing we’ll soon be able to place the final book alongside the others, seeing the full arc of Nick and Charlie’s journey in one row.

The official description for Heartstopper Volume 6 reads: “Everyone in school knows Nick and Charlie. Everyone knows they’re going to be together forever. But Charlie’s busy with his bid to become head boy. And while Nick is preparing to leave for college, he’s starting to wonder who he’ll be… without Charlie.”
If that doesn’t already tug at your heart, the preview page Oseman shared certainly does. In the scene, Nick and Charlie are in Charlie’s room, tucked inside a makeshift sleep tent—the kind of cozy, intimate setting that Heartstopper does so beautifully. They revisit a past conversation where Nick admitted that he feels sad when Charlie isn’t around, and that the idea of going to Leeds and being apart has been weighing on him. We see Nick’s vulnerability as he owns up to those fears again. It’s quiet, raw, and incredibly real.

That emotional honesty has always been one of Heartstopper’s greatest strengths. It doesn’t just give us queer joy; it gives us queer anxiety, queer growth, and the complicated transition into adulthood. Nick questioning who he’ll be outside of his relationship doesn’t undermine their love; it makes it human.
We won’t pretend this isn’t hard. The graphic novels were our first introduction to these characters, long before the mainstream spotlight found them. We’ve grown up alongside Nick and Charlie, watched them stumble, communicate, heal, and choose each other again and again. Seeing Heartstopper Volume 6 arrive means accepting that this chapter is closing.
But if this truly is the final page, we’re ready to experience it fully. We’ll be pre-ordering our copy, preparing ourselves emotionally, and making space on our shelves for the completed set. Because even as this story ends, the impact it’s had on queer readers everywhere will absolutely last forever.
Heartstopper Volume 6 will be out on July 2. Pre-orders are available now at all major bookstores. Follow us on X and Instagram for all queer stuff!
