XO, Kitty Season 3 First Look: Netflix Sets April Release Date and Teases Senior Year Chaos

We’re not exaggerating when we say we’ve been refreshing our timelines waiting for news about XO, Kitty Season 3. And clearly, many of y’all have too. Well, the wait is officially over. Netflix has announced that XO, Kitty Season 3 premieres on Thursday, April 2, which means it’s time to start texting the group chat and locking in those watch party plans. We’re heading back to Seoul, and we couldn’t be more ready.

As part of the XO, Kitty Season 3 First Look, Netflix also shared the official synopsis, and let’s just say that even when Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) tries to plan the perfect year, life (and love) has other ideas.

According to the streamer, Season 3 follows “Kitty Song Covey as she returns for her final year at KISS with her perfect senior year mapped out. She’s going to make meaningful memories with her friends, grow closer to her relatives in Korea, and make big decisions about her future. And she’s going to define her relationship with Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee). For real this time. But when surprise revelations throw her plans and relationships off course, Kitty will have to learn to embrace the unexpected.”

If that doesn’t scream “organized chaos,” we don’t know what does.

Season 2 left Kitty in a wildly different place than where she started. Not only did she secure the renewal of her scholarship—ensuring she could return to KISS for senior year—but she also honored her late mother’s wishes by reconnecting her family and uncovering relatives she never even knew existed. Watching Kitty deepen her connection to her Korean heritage has been one of the most meaningful arcs of the series, grounding all the romantic drama in something deeply personal.

And then there’s the romance. Because of course there is.

Our proudly bisexual matchmaker found herself falling for Min Ho, her ex-boyfriend’s best friend, giving us that enemies-to-friends-to-something-more storyline that had us collectively screaming at our screens. By the end of Season 2, Kitty was heading off for the summer with Min Ho, and while their slow-burn relationship is still very much simmering, we’re beyond curious to see where they land when senior year begins. Is the slow burn about to go full flame? Are we finally getting clarity? Or more delicious emotional chaos? Honestly, we’ll take either.

The XO, Kitty Season 3 First Look also came with brand-new images from the upcoming season, which you can check out below in our gallery. And yes, we’ve already analyzed every glance, every hallway moment, and every suspiciously charged stare.

This third season will consist of eight episodes, each around 30 minutes long. The series is written, produced, and directed by Valentina Garza, with creator Jenny Han and Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment executive producing alongside Bradley Gardner.

The returning cast includes Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey, Minyeong Choi as Dae, Gia Kim as Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Anthony Keyvan as Q, Regan Aliyah as Juliana, Hojo Shin as Jiwon (now a series regular!), Peter Thurnwald as Alex, Joshua Lee as Jin, Sasha Bhasin as Praveena, Michael K. Lee as Professor Lee, Philippe Lee as Mr. Moon, Jocelyn Shelfo as Madison, Han Bi Ryu as Eunice, and Sunny Oh as Mihee.

Season 3 also welcomes new cast members Sule Thelwell as Marius, Soy Kim as Yisoo, and Christine Heesun Hwang as Gigi.

Senior year is officially in session, and if this XO, Kitty Season 3 First Look tells us anything, it’s that love, identity, and unexpected twists are all part of the curriculum. April 2 can’t come soon enough.
