Kitty 2.0 Is Here! XO, Kitty Season 2 Trailer Teases Drama, Love, and a Special Cameo

Almost a month after Netflix announced that the second season of XO, Kitty would be dropping on January 16, today the streaming giant released the official trailer—and we’re obsessed for so many reasons. If you thought Kitty’s journey couldn’t get more dramatic, heartfelt, and downright entertaining, think again. Let’s dive into what’s in store for our favorite matchmaker turned main character.

The trailer opens with a scene that perfectly sets the tone: Kitty (Anna Cathcart) is having a nightmare about her wild adventure at KISS. Let’s face it, last semester was a bit of a disaster. Between academic struggles, a whirlwind of emotions, and that cliffhanger ending, we weren’t sure if Kitty would even be able to return for another semester. But guess what? She’s back, and this time she’s determined to do things differently.

Upon reuniting with her bestie Q (Anthony Keyvan), Kitty declares that she’s turning over a new leaf. This semester, it’s all about hitting the books, uncovering the truth about her late mom’s past, and launching “Kitty 2.0.” She even acknowledges the chaos of last semester, but she’s ready to prioritize and grow. Sounds like a solid plan, right? But well, it’s Kitty we’re talking about, so we’ll see how it all unfolds. It wouldn’t be XO, Kitty without some romantic drama… and Kitty is diving headfirst into her own heart’s complexities.

Kitty’s still grappling with her lingering feelings for Yuri (Gia Kim), and she’s also ready to explore her sexuality by dating girls. But as we all know, putting yourself out there isn’t always easy—especially when you’re also still navigating unresolved feelings for Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee). Yep, the love polygon is back and messier than ever. Will Kitty find clarity, or will she end up creating even more chaos?

Luckily, she’s got her friends by her side to navigate all this, plus a surprise visitor from the To All the Boys universe: Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo)! Yes, you read that right. Peter’s making a cameo, and he’s here to drop some wisdom on Kitty. In the trailer, he tells her, “You are Kitty Song frickin’ Covey. Don’t you forget it.” Iconic. While we’re not sure how long Peter’s stay in Seoul will last, his presence is bound to bring a mix of nostalgia and excitement.

Jessica O’Toole, the showrunner, executive producer, and writer of XO, Kitty, shared her thoughts with TUDUM.com on bringing Noah Centineo into the fold this season: “It was amazing to watch Anna and Noah together on set; they have so much love and respect for each other and you can feel it in their scenes together. This season of XO, Kitty is all about where Kitty is going but also where she came from. And the opportunity to include Peter Kavinsky in that journey was so exciting. I can’t wait for the fans to see Peter interact with some of their favorite XO, Kitty characters and to see all of the other juicy surprises we have in store… including some big moments fans have been waiting for and others they will never see coming.”

Noah Centineo himself also chimed in, saying, “Working with Anna again was amazing. She’s so wonderfully talented and her work ethic shows in every scene. Stepping back into the To All the Boys universe was a true joy and I hope our incredible audience enjoys seeing Peter again as much as I did.”

We can’t wait to see how all the pieces come together in Season 2. Don’t miss XO, Kitty when it premieres on Netflix on January 16—mark your calendars and get ready for the drama, laughs, and heartfelt moments we’ve come to love.
