XO, Kitty is Officially Renewed for Season 3—And We’re Getting a Summer Episode!
What better day to renew a show where matchmaking and love take center stage than today? Netflix just gave us the perfect Valentine’s Day gift: XO, Kitty is officially returning for a third season! And they even made the announcement in the cutest way possible:
“Roses are red. Violets are blue. There’s a third season of XO, Kitty in store for you!”
That’s right—our favorite chaos queen, Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart), is heading back to K.I.S.S. for another semester, and this time, we’re getting a summer episode! Considering the season 2 finale left us on a major cliffhanger, we’d say this makes up for the suspense.
Jessica O’Toole, XO, Kitty’s showrunner and executive producer, shared her excitement with Tudum: “I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama, just wait.”
ICYMI, season 2 wrapped up with Kitty fulfilling her late mother’s wishes by reuniting her long-lost family and securing her scholarship to return for senior year. And, of course, she finally admitted to herself what we’ve all known for ages—she’s in love with Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee ). But just as she’s ready to act on her feelings, Min Ho drops the bomb that he’s leaving for the summer to join his family’s tour. In a twist no one saw coming, Kitty asks if she can go with him, leaving us absolutely screaming at the screen.
“I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2, but I can promise Season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode—not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure… and kissing,” says O’Toole. “Lots of kissing.”

As of now, no additional details—like returning cast members or production timelines—have been released. But you know we’ll be keeping our eyes on all things XO, Kitty and will update you as soon as we hear more. In the meantime, we’re just going to bask in the joy of knowing that XO, Kitty is coming back for more matchmaking, more drama, and, of course, more romance.
XO, Kitty is a spin-off inspired by the beloved To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before film franchise, which was based on Jenny Han’s bestselling novels. Season 2, which premiered on Jan. 16, made an impressive debut, landing at No. 2 on Netflix’s English TV List with 14.2 million views. The series’ success also sparked renewed interest in its earlier installments, bringing Season 1 back into the Top 10 and even pushing the original 2018 To All the Boys film back into Netflix’s most-watched list.
