Sparks fly in new Red, White, & Royal Blue trailer

A little less than a month after Amazon shared the first look at its highly anticipated adaptation of Casey McQuiston’s Red, White & Royal Blue, today the streaming service has released the official trailer. And let us tell you something, fam, sparks fly!

In the two-minute video, we can see the love story of Alex (Taylor Zakhar Perez) and Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) unfold. From the moment they have a run-in at a royal wedding that causes an international scandal, to how, as a result of the damage control plan agreed upon by their families, they end up falling in love.

Fans of the source material must have screamed as we did when seeing so many iconic scenes from the book being translated to the big screen: the cake-tastrophe; their first kiss at Alex’s New Year’s party; the cornetto scene; their trip to the lake house; the charity event at the children’s hospital; the karaoke date; when Zahra (Sarah Shahi) finally discovers them; President Ellen Claremont’s (Uma Thurman) “you need to figure out if you feel forever about him”; their confrontation in Henry’s room; the hug in the hangar at the airport; David’s cameo; their talk with the King (Stephen Fry), and so much more!

The chemistry between the main actors is there and as we had already told you, sparks fly! After all, it’s an R-rated movie. But don’t take our word for it and check it out for yourselves in the video below.

Isn’t it great? We’re still screaming. And honestly, we can’t wait to stream this movie in all its gay glory. But until the long-awaited date arrives (August 11), we’ll be here watching this trailer on a loop.

Red, White, & Royal Blue will be available globally on August 11 only on Prime Video. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram for all queer stuff!
