Noah Schnapp comes out as gay on TikTok

Wildly popular Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp has just come out as gay on TikTok. With almost thirty million followers on the platform alone, the news is spreading fast. The young star looks relaxed and happy as he delivers the news, with both text and dubbed audio for full impact.

The text at the top of his screen reads, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared and in the closet for 18 years and all they said was “we know”. With an audio dubbing that says “it was never that serious” to really drive home his message that this whole process shouldn’t be the ordeal that it is. The caption on his post reads, “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought.”

There are currently almost two hundred thousand comments on the post, and they are all overwhelmingly positive and showering the young star with love and praise. With as many followers as he has, that number is only likely to continue skyrocketing as the night continues.

Noah Schnapp confirmed only six months ago that his character on Stranger Things is also gay, putting an end to long-debated fandom speculation. In an interview with Variety, after the last season aired, Schnapp said “it’s pretty clear this season that Will has feelings for Mike”, and explained how the signs of Will’s sexuality have “always been there”.

“Obviously, it was hinted at in season one,” he said. “It was always kind of there, but you never really knew, is it just him growing up slower than his friends? Now that he’s gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing.”

The fifth season of Stranger Things is confirmed by Netflix but hasn’t started filming as yet. No official dates for the onset of this, or planned release dates are available yet, but we’ll keep you posted as they become available.

We wish Noah Schnapp all the light and love in the world. Go live as your best, authentic self baby!
