First photos of My Policeman: starring Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, and David Dawson!
Two stills from the highly anticipated queer romantic drama My Policeman starring Harry Styles (Dunkirk), Emma Corrin (The Crown), and David Dawson (The Last Kingdom) have finally been revealed by Amazon Studios!
My Policeman is an adaptation of a book of the same name by Bethan Roberts and will be produced by Greg Berlanti and directed by Michael Grandage. The story is set in Brighton in 1957 and follows a policeman named Tom Burgess (Harry Styles), who is secretly gay, but lives in a society where it’s illegal to be so. Burgess begins dating a school teacher, Marion (Emma Corrin), but also embarks on a secret love affair with Patrick Hazelwood (David Dawson), a museum curator. Forced to repress his true feelings, Burgess decides to marry Marion, and as tensions rise between the married couple, Patrick’s life ends up in shambles.
My Policeman jumps between two time periods: the 1950s, in which Tom is navigating this complicated love triangle with Marion and Patrick at a young age; and 40 years later, when Tom (now played by Linus Roache) and Marion’s (Gina McKee) strained life together becomes more complicated when Marion agrees to take in Patrick (Rupert Everett) after he suffers a stroke.
Coupled with the pictures, Amazon Studios also revealed that the movie will hit theaters on October 21st and then stream exclusively on Prime Video two weeks later, on November 4th, 2022.
The rest of the cast also includes Linus Roache, Gina McKee, Rupert Everett, Andrew Tiernan, Jack Bandeira, Kadiff Kirwan, and Tristan Sturrock, among others.
My Policeman is sure to be one of the most anticipated movies of this year, so keep an eye on this space for more on it as soon as the trailer drops.
