First look at AMC+’s Interview With the Vampire Season 2: The Bloodlust continues!

Vampires have always been an enduring source of fascination and terror in the world of fiction, and AMC+ is keeping that fascination alive and well with the upcoming second season of their acclaimed hit TV show Interview With the Vampire.

While information about the new season has been tantalizingly scarce, AMC+ recently quenched our thirst for blood with the release of a three-minute scene, giving us an official first look at the dark and treacherous world inhabited by these immortal – and sexy – creatures.

In this sneak peek, we are swiftly introduced to Armand’s coven, and let us tell you, fam, just with their first interaction on screen it becomes abundantly clear that these vampires didn’t come to play. The bloodthirsty rampage that takes place is as riveting as it is chilling, and it serves as a stark reminder of the inherent danger that comes with the world of the undead.

Armand (Assad Zaman) exudes the perfect amount of creepiness, setting the tone for a season that’s sure to be filled with dark secrets and even darker desires. But don’t take our word for it, check out the scene in the clip below!

If this clip is anything to go by, it seems that the focus of Season 2 has now shifted towards Louis (Jacob Anderson) and his enigmatic relationship with Armand. And we’re really excited about the show exploring that dynamic, the revelation of Armand’s true identity in the dramatic season 1 finale was one of the highlights of the previous season. It truly made us question everything we watched.

But we also have to admit that the absence of Lestat (Sam Reid) in this first look at the upcoming season was a boomer – we miss our crazy, controlling, and toxic vampire, sue us. But y’all know what they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder and we can’t wait to see what Interview With The Vampire Season 2 does with him.

But anyway, as Lestat’s ultimate destiny remains shrouded in uncertainty, it’s also important to note that one of the most significant changes in the upcoming season is the recasting of the character Claudia, now portrayed by Delainey Hayles.

Claudia’s evolution will undoubtedly bring fresh and intriguing dynamics to the story, as she adapts to her new coven with Louis. In the electrifying scene from the teaser above, we catch a glimpse of Claudia’s relish in the bloodsucking activities, hinting at the dark path she’s been embracing since Season 1. So we hope to see much more of this crazy, dangerous, and enigmatic vampire.

As we eagerly anticipate the return of Interview With the Vampire in 2024, we are left with many questions. When will Lestat re-emerge from the shadows? How will Louis and Claudia adapt to their new coven? Was Louis a reliable narrator in the first season, or did his relationship with Armand lead him to change the narrative? The allure of this world of immortality and the ever-present struggle for power and survival are sure to captivate us all once again.

With its rich and complex characters and the promise of dark and twisted tales, season 2 promises a feast for the senses and the soul. So let’s sink our teeth into this supernatural world, as we embark on a thrilling and blood-soaked journey into the unknown. Stay tuned for more updates on the dark and seductive world of Interview With the Vampire.
