There’s more ‘Heartstopper’ coming our way this year: Get ready for a yearbook!
You, us, the rest of the world, none of us can’t get enough of Heartstopper! We’ve rewatched the show and read the comics so many times that we’ve lost count. But today we have good news for all of you who, like us, are obsessed with the world that Alice Oseman created for us! A Heartstopper Yearbook is coming our way! Yes, you heard that right, we’re getting more content from the Osemanverse!
Today, Alice took to social media to share the news that a yearbook – a full-color hardcover book containing all kinds of additional Heartstopper content – will be released on October, 13th, 2022. *screams in excitement*
In their Instagram post, the Heartstopper creator said, “This book has been a lot of very hard work and really pushed me out of my comfort zone as an artist…people who have followed my art journey will know I’ve always found full-color art a CHALLENGE and this book needed sooo many new full color pieces. But I’m SO happy with how it all turned out! I’m especially excited for you to see the ‘Art of Heartstopper’ section of the book, which takes you through the progression of my Heartstopper art from 2013 until now.”
The comic book series that recently became a live-action show on Netflix follows two British teenage boys, Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), as they navigate the beginnings of love, friendship, and heartbreak, all while trying to manage the everyday trials of being high school students. The show quickly became an internet sensation and has since been renewed for two more seasons by the streaming platform.
Entertainment Weekly, which got the exclusive on Alice’s new book, said that the Heartstopper Yearbook is jam-packed with brand-new content, including illustrations, an exclusive mini-comic, character profiles, trivia, and insights into Oseman’s creative process – which are narrated by a cartoon version of Oseman herself.
