The Umbrella Academy’s Final Trailer is Here: “The End” is Near!
The End is near, Brellies! Remember back in May when we shared with y’all the teaser trailer for the final season of The Umbrella Academy? With the iconic song The Final Countdown by Europe blasting in the background, we saw the Hargreeves siblings getting back in action for what seemed to be a rescue mission. Well, today, we have something even more epic to share: the final trailer of the final season and some first-look pictures!
Yep, you read that right, one month before the show drops on Netflix, the streaming giant has released the long-awaited final trailer along with some first-look pictures. With the tagline “It’s finally time for The End,” this peek into the final season is everything we hoped for and more! If you thought the teaser was iconic, you’re not ready for the actual trailer. Seriously, it’s out of this world.
In these two-and-a-half minutes of pure excitement, we see the Hargreeves trying to save the world one last time. There’s lots of action, plenty of fights, and of course, all the classic Umbrella Academy shenanigans we love. But there’s one major revelation that left us buzzing: Ben (Justin H. Min), yes our beloved Ben, seems to be key to understanding all the timelines.
What?! Yeah, we were equally puzzled but totally excited about that twist. We always thought Viktor (Elliot Page) and Five (Aidan Gallagher) were central to understanding the multiple apocalypses and timelines we’ve seen throughout the seasons, but it seems that’s not the case.

Wasn’t that epic? Also, we have to give a huge shout-out to the Umbrella Academy team because that song selection was a masterstroke. For anyone wondering, the song is The End by My Chemical Romance. Fun fact: MCR’s frontman Gerard Way created The Umbrella Academy comic series that the show is based on—The Dark Horse Comic Series. The End is the opening track on The Black Parade, one of the greatest albums of all time.
So, what can we expect in this final season? Here’s what Netflix has revealed:
“The Hargreeves siblings have scattered after the climactic showdown at the Hotel Oblivion led to a complete reset of their timeline. Stripped of their powers, each is left to fend for themselves and find a new normal — with wildly varying degrees of success. Yet the trappings of their uncanny new world prove too hard to ignore for very long. Their father Reginald, alive and well, has stepped out of the shadows and into the public eye, overseeing a powerful and nefarious business empire.
“A mysterious association known as The Keepers holds clandestine meetings believing the reality they’re living in is a lie and a great reckoning is coming. As these strange new forces conspire around them, the Umbrella Academy must come together one last time — and risk upsetting the shaky peace they’ve all endured so much to secure — to finally set things right.”
