The Trailer for The Ultimatum: Queer Love Season 2 Is Here and It’s Already a Mess (In the Best Way)
This is not a drill. We repeat: this is not a drill. Netflix just dropped the trailer for the upcoming second season of their reality TV chaos-machine The Ultimatum: Queer Love, and we are absolutely screaming.
As we shared just last week, Season 2 is heading our way in two parts, with the first batch of episodes dropping June 25 and the second half landing July 2. So, like we said before, whether you’re pregaming for the parade or curled up recovering from a weekend full of queer joy, you’ll have something juicy and dramatic to binge. Perfect timing, honestly.
But back to the main event: this trailer? A wild ride. We finally got a look at the six new couples taking the plunge into Netflix’s uniquely unhinged experiment in love, commitment, and emotional chaos. And let’s just say, lesbians are brutal, folks.

For those new to the format, here’s a quick refresher: each couple enters the show with an ultimatum. One partner wants to get married. The other’s not so sure. So, they break up. Temporarily. Over eight emotionally supercharged weeks, they’ll date other people from the same group and explore what life might look like with someone new. At the end of it all, they’ll have to make a choice: get married or get out.
As returning host JoAnna Garcia Swisher teases in the trailer: “Will you leave here alone? Will you leave here engaged? Or will you leave here with someone new?” Honestly, with the tension already this high, we’re betting on someone leaving in tears. Or fists. Or both.

Here are the six couples at the center of this new emotional bloodbath:
- Ashley (She/Her, 30) issued the ultimatum to Marita (She/Her, 25)
- Britney (She/Her, 27) issued the ultimatum to AJ (She/Her, 28)
- Dayna (She/Her, 25) issued the ultimatum to Magan (She/Her, 27)
- Haley (She/Her, 29) issued the ultimatum to Pilar (She/Her, 29)
- Kyle (She/They, 30) issued the ultimatum to Bridget (She/They, 28)
- Marie (She/Her, 27) issued the ultimatum to Mel (She/Her, 27)
So what do we think? Will any of these couples make it through unscathed? Will love triumph, or are we about to watch six slow-motion breakups unfold in real time? And let’s be honest: do any of them stand a chance against the lesbian urge to self-destruct on reality television?
Watch the trailer below and let us know your predictions. We’ll be here, counting down the days till June 25 and preparing emotionally for what already looks like another iconic queer disaster.
