The Irrepressibles Drops ‘Ecstasy Homosexuality’ and Announces ‘Yo Homo’ Album & Tour!

Since our Young Royals days, we’ve been obsessed with the unique artistry Jamie Irrepressible brings to the music scene. We shared our excitement during Pride Month with the release of Be Wild, and now we’re back with even bigger news. The Irrepressibles has just released a new single, Ecstasy Homosexuality, and it comes with two huge announcements: The Irrepressibles’ 4th album, Yo Homo, and the Yo Homo Tour – both coming out this fall!

If you love unapologetically queer music that’s also very artistry, this track is going to blow your mind. Ecstasy Homosexuality is all about desire, sexuality, sensuality, and art, wrapped in a beautiful LGBTQ+ package. The music video, produced by Berlin-based ‘Container Love’ and directed by Ben Galster, is a must-watch.

But heads up – it’s super NSFW, so maybe save it for when you’re not in public.

The music video includes artwork from artists like Alfonso del Moral Sanchez, and Rafael Salem. Paintings by Wojciech Wos, and photography by Alex Avgud, Anil Ayhan, Birk Thomassen, Depuis Ce Matin, Jaihang, Kostis Fokas, Sebastian Perinotti, Slava Mogutin, Stephane Gizard, Tyler Udall, and Yves de Brabander.

Christian Ruess, the genius behind ‘Container Love,’ said, “Art is about refusing to give in to fear – the fear of being judged, rejected, or becoming an outcast. Fear can only be defeated together and with love. This is why we, as Container Love, love to collaborate with beautiful artists, telling stories that are unapologetic, that make your heart beat faster, and stories that make you feel that you belong.”

Director Ben Galster also chimed in, “Jamie is an absolute icon to many, and working with him to make this music video into a bold statement of queer pride was an experience I’ll forever treasure. This film is an outlet of raw emotion, merging Jamie’s lyrics, contemporary art, and archive footage into a fearless confession of love that transcends lust – courageous and unstoppable.”

Now, let’s talk about the new album. Yo Homo is set to be a wild ride with a punk-rock spirit and a symphonic twist. Jamie Irrepressible is known for those intense, emotional bangers, and this album won’t be the exception. So expect tracks that are sexy, witty, dance-worthy, and occasionally political.

Yo Homo drops on September 27th via Of Naked Design Recordings, and you can pre-order it now here. But what about the tour, you ask? We’ve got the scoop too!

The Irrepressibles are hitting the road in October for the Yo Homo Tour! This tour is all about new material – no oldies here. Expect a killer line-up of drums, percussion, violin, viola, cello, double and electric bass, piano, and electric guitars backing Jamie’s iconic vocals. The official line-up of musicians will be announced in September, so stay tuned.
