Queer Eye Season 7: release date of the new season
It’s official! Netflix has just announced the release date for the highly anticipated seventh season of their Emmy® Award-winning reality TV show Queer Eye. You heard that right, folks. The Fab Five are back with a new season! And in classic Queer Eye fashion, the gang is heading to a new destination – New Orleans, a city with a rhythm, style, and attitude that we’re sure will make everyone involved feel right at home.
As in previous seasons of the hit show executive produced by David Collins, Michael Williams, and Rob Eric, this time hosts Antoni Porowski (Food & Wine), Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming), Karamo Brown (Culture), and Tan France (Fashion), will bring their knowledge, advice, sparkle, and sass to the Big Easy and help change the lives of local residents who are in desperate need of a fresh – and very fabulous – new start.
According to the official press release, this new season of Queer Eye will only have 7 episodes of around 45 minutes each, and while that’s three episodes less than what we got in Season 6, at this point where cancellations of LGBTQ+ shows are happening more and more frequently, we’re just happy that this beloved show is back.
Since its debut in 2018, Netflix’s Queer Eye has become a pop culture phenomenon. For many around the globe – including members of our team – watching these five wonderful human beings help others find their best selves has become some sort of safe haven, a virtual place of comfort that nourishes the heart. And we don’t want to lose that.
So grab your beads and let the good times roll when the new season of Queer Eye premieres on Netflix on May 12, 2023.
