Netflix’s Queer Eye Sets a Release Date for Its 10th and Final Season

We always knew this day would come… we just really, really didn’t want it to. And yet, here we are, taking a deep breath and sharing the news we’ve been dreading and anticipating in equal measure. So, bittersweet drumrolls please: the 10th and final season of Netflix’s Queer Eye officially has a release date. The beloved series will return one last time on January 21, with its farewell season set in Washington, D.C. Yep, you read that right. In just over a fortnight, we’ll be hitting “play next episode” with a whole lot of feelings, and probably a box of tissues within arm’s reach.

If you know us, you know Queer Eye has been one of our ultimate comfort watches since it first premiered back in February 2018. For nearly seven years, this show has been there through personal highs and lows, cultural shifts, global chaos, and everything in between. Week after week, season after season, Jonathan, Tan, Karamo, Antoni, Bobby—and, more recently, Jeremiah, who joined the Fab Five in seasons 9 and 10—reminded us that self-care is political, vulnerability is powerful, and chosen family can truly change lives. Knowing that the 10th and final season marks the end of this era feels heavy, to say the least.

But before we fully spiral (we’re saving that emotional deep dive for our review), we also want to pause and acknowledge just how lucky we’ve been. It’s no secret that queer shows rarely get long runs; many are lucky to see a second season, let alone a third. And yet, Queer Eye didn’t just survive; it thrived. We didn’t get one or two seasons. We got 10 seasons of radical empathy, joyful makeovers, deep conversations, and unapologetic queer love in all its forms. Across its run, Queer Eye delivered transformations rooted not just in aesthetics but in acceptance, self-worth, friendship, and community. That kind of longevity for a proudly queer show is rare, and it’s something worth celebrating.

The release date announcement also came with a heartfelt goodbye teaser, and honestly? It took us right back to some of the most emotional moments in the show’s long history. Tears were shed. Tissues were grabbed. If this teaser is any indication, the 10th and final season is going to be an emotional marathon. Queer Eye has always been tear-inducing, but something tells us we’ll need to stay extra hydrated this last time around.

While the official trailer for the season has yet to be released, we do know that in addition to introducing a new group of Washingtonians ready for one last round of life-changing support, Queer Eye’s 10th and final season will also honor the show’s remarkable legacy. As Netflix’s longest-running unscripted series, Queer Eye has earned 37 Emmy nominations and 11 wins, including a record six consecutive wins for Outstanding Structured Reality Program. The series has also picked up multiple Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards and a well-deserved GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Reality Program, cementing its place as a cornerstone of LGBTQ+ representation on mainstream television.

We don’t know about y’all, but we’re definitely not ready to say goodbye to this show, not even close. Still, we’ll be there on January 21, binge-watching the final season with full hearts, watery eyes, and immense pride in the community this show helped build. One last makeover. One last cry. One last reminder that queer joy, care, and love can truly change the world.
