Neil Patrick Harris is Uncoupled: A first look teaser trailer
Hollywood royalty Neil Patrick Harris is storming his way back onto the small screen on July 29 in a new Netflix series called Uncoupled. His character, Michael Lawson, finds himself single in New York City after being shacked up with the same man for 17 years. Netflix has just released a first-look teaser trailer and here at Q+ we have it for y’all!

Lawson’s life in New York City is pretty great (until it isn’t). He is successful in his job as a real estate agent selling some of the most exclusive properties in Manhattan, he has a great circle of friends, and his family is everything he could want. Then Colin (Tuc Watkins) packs up his things without telling Michael and moves out on the eve of his 50th birthday.
Michael had quite literally no idea that this was coming. Not even a hint of a hint, and finds himself completely blindsided. See, Michael thought Colin was his soulmate, and he thought Colin reciprocated those feelings. Now, Michael finds himself a middle-aged single gay man in the depths of New York City, and he has to face all the harrowing experiences that come along with that new status.
In his difficult time, Michael bonds with Claire Lewis (Marcia Gay Harden), whose home he is enlisted to sell, as both of them recently lost their spouses. He also leans on Suzanne Prentiss (Tisha Campbell), his coworker and real estate agent in crime to help him navigate the complexities of healing a broken heart and starting over again.
As the first-look teaser trailer clearly shows, there are many firsts for Michael during this time. Online dating has become all the rage, and Michael takes his first-ever full-frontal dick pic in the locker room at the gym. Is this new life for Michael? Well, you’ll have to tune in on July 29 and find out for yourself!
