Jonathan Bailey’s ‘The Shameless Fund’ Kicks Off with Loewe Collaboration
We’ve been huge fans of Jonathan Bailey for a long time, y’all know we absolutely love the guy, and he keeps giving us reasons to just turn our publication into a Jonathan Bailey stan account! Back in May, we reported how he ran half a marathon for LGBTQ+ youth, raising over €30,000 for Just Like Us, a charity dedicated to making education more inclusive for LGBTQ+ youth. And guess what? He’s at it again, but this time by launching his own LGBTQ+ charity, The Shameless Fund.
The Shameless Fund, in Jonathan Bailey’s own words, is “a passion project that will support international, national, and grassroots LGBTQ+ non-profits to forge a world where every LGBTQ+ person can live authentically, love freely, and thrive without the burdens of discrimination, oppression, or shame.” How amazing is that?
The official website of The Shameless Fund lays it out perfectly: “Around the world, anti-LGBTQ+ laws are on the increase. We’re raising cash through global brand collaborations to power up international, national, and grassroots LGBTQ+ non-profits, to forge a world where every LGBTQ+ person can live authentically, love freely, and thrive without the burdens of discrimination, oppression, or shame. Welcome to our shameless collective.”
To kick off The Shameless Fund, Bailey and Loewe are collaborating on a suggestive white T-shirt with milk dripping from the collar. This design is inspired by a steamy scene in Fellow Travelers where Matt Bomer’s character, Hawk, tells Bailey’s character, Tim, to be a good boy and “drink your milk.” Bailey shared on his Instagram account that the idea for this T-shirt came to him “in a splat” one fine morning. He knew that Jonathan Anderson, creative director at Loewe and his longtime friend, was “the only person playful, creative, and horny enough to flip that vision into a reality.”
Jonathan Bailey’s collaboration with Loewe, benefitting The Shameless Fund, will be available in select Loewe stores and online beginning June 27.
