Interview With The Vampire Season 2: Get Ready for a Fang-tastic Premiere!

Attention, vampire aficionados! Grab your garlic and sharpen your fangs because we’ve got some thrilling news straight from the crypt! AMC has just unleashed a beastly announcement at the Television Critics Association winter press tour – Interview With the Vampire is gearing up for its highly anticipated second season and it’s coming sooner than y’all think.

Yes, you read that right! After months and months of uncertainty, we finally have an official release date. So mark your calendars, folks, because the undead saga officially resumes its reign of terror on Sunday, May 12th. It’s still unknown if the episodes will be airing exclusively on the AMC+ app every Friday prior to the broadcast release as they did in Season 1. But the good news is that eight blood-soaked episodes are headed our way no matter what.

But wait, there’s more! Brace yourselves because this season promises to plunge us deeper into the shadows of vampire lore. With production spanning across the hauntingly beautiful landscapes of Prague, Paris, and New Orleans – the stage is set for an epic continuation of the immortal tale.

We don’t know about y’all but we can’t wait!

Season 2 picks up right where the bloodbath left off – in the year 2022 –  with Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) spilling his guts to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) about the gory events that took place in the 1940s in New Orleans.

This new season will follow Louis and Claudia (Delainey Hayles) as they escape to Europe on a quest to discover Old World Vampires and the Theatre Des Vampires in Paris, and it’s there that Louis meets vampire Armand (Assad Zaman) – yeah that vampire who in the very last episode of Season 1 made us question the veracity of everything we watched.

Anygays, Louis and Armand’s love affair will prove to have devastating consequences both in the past and in the future and Molloy will probe to get to the truths buried within the memories.

New faces will join the fray, including David Costabile as a seasoned TV personality named “Leonard” and Ben Daniels as the mysterious vampire “Santiago”. Recurring guest stars this season include Roxane Duran as “Madeleine” and Bally Gill as “Real Rashid.” Not a lot is known about these new characters, but they all promise to stir up trouble.

And if you’re craving a taste of the darkness to come, AMC has dropped a couple of tantalizing photos (that we’ve distributed in this piece) and a little sneak peek clip that will leave you thirsting for more.

Interview With the Vampire is executive produced by award-winning producer Mark Johnson, creator and showrunner Rolin Jones, and Mark Taylor, along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice, the author of Interview With the Vampire, the first of The Vampire Chronicles series.

Fellow creatures of the night, are you ready to sink your teeth into the dark and delicious world of Interview With the Vampire? Because we certainly are!

The shadows are calling, and there’s no turning back. Let’s raise our goblets of blood and toast to a second season that promises to be nothing short of immortal.
