Hulu’s ‘Mid-Century Modern’ Premieres March 28

Hulu’s upcoming comedy series Mid-Century Modern is officially set to premiere on March 28, 2025, and we couldn’t be more excited! From the brilliant minds behind Will & Grace, Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, and powerhouse producer Ryan Murphy, this multi-camera comedy promises a witty, heartfelt, and fabulously queer story about friendship, aging, and of course, Palm Springs real estate.

At its heart, Mid-Century Modern follows three best friends—described as “gay gentlemen of a certain age”—who come together after an unexpected death and decide to spend their golden years living under one roof. Their unconventional chosen family dynamic gets even more interesting thanks to Bunny Schneiderman’s mother, Sybil, adding another layer of comedy (and probably a bit of chaos) to the mix. The show promises humor, heart, and the kind of sharp one-liners that remind us aging gracefully is all about having the right friends and maybe a little cosmetic intervention along the way.

The all-star cast includes Nathan Lane as Bunny Schneiderman, Matt Bomer as Jerry Frank, and Nathan Lee Graham as Arthur Broussard, with Linda Lavin playing Sybil Schneiderman. Adding even more star power, Mid-Century Modern features a stacked lineup of guest stars, including Pamela Adlon, Vanessa Bayer, Kimberly Coles, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Judd Hirsch, Richard Kind, Billie Lourd, Rhea Perlman, Zane Phillips, and many more. With James Burrows directing, we can expect the kind of comedic timing and charm that made Will & Grace such a beloved hit.

While Mid-Century Modern is bringing plenty of laughs, the series also carries a bittersweet note, as it marks Linda Lavin’s final role before her passing in December 2024. The legendary actress, known for her impeccable comedic timing and larger-than-life presence, is sure to leave us with one last unforgettable performance.

With all ten episodes dropping at once, Mid-Century Modern is shaping up to be our next binge-worthy obsession. Between the stellar cast, the promise of razor-sharp dialogue, and a premise that celebrates queer friendships and found family, this one is a must-watch. Mark your calendars for March 28, because we’re ready to move in!
