Heart, stopped! The Heartstopper Season 3 Trailer Has Dropped!

With the new season just around the corner (mark your calendars for October 3rd, folks!), it was only a matter of days before the highly anticipated Heartstopper Season 3 Trailer dropped. And well, that day has finally come!

This morning, Netflix released the official trailer for the third season of Heartstopper, and if you haven’t seen it yet, prepare yourself for all the feels. It’s a roller coaster of emotions! But wait, there’s more! Netflix also gifted us with fresh production stills for y’all to enjoy.

We already know that Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) are ready to take things to the next level, but as they grow closer in every way, they’ll face the biggest challenge their relationship has seen yet. With Vertigo by Griff playing in the background, the two-and-a-half-minute Heartstopper Season 3 Trailer packs so many moments to look forward to that one watch just isn’t enough. The Heartstopper Season 3 Trailer opens with Nick and Charlie’s signature “hi” exchange, but we’re quickly pulled into what this season is all about: big decisions and serious challenges. These characters are now sixteen, and as Isaac (Tobie Donovan) perfectly points out, “Sixteen is when nothing makes sense anymore.”

Some of these young folks are starting sixth form and thinking about university options, while others are fighting their own demons. The plotline Heartstopper has been hinting at, particularly in Season 2—Charlie’s mental health struggles—comes into full view. Right from the start, we see Nick worrying about Charlie’s well-being, a clear sign that this season isn’t afraid to tackle these often-overlooked issues.

The way mental health is handled in Heartstopper is something rarely seen on mainstream television, and from what we’ve seen in the trailer, Season 3 looks set to continue treating these themes with the love and care they deserve. We don’t see much, but what we do see is raw, it’s scary, it’s vulnerable—and honestly, we’re ready to have our hearts broken (in the best way possible, of course).

For those familiar with the graphic novels, you know there’s a certain heartbreaking scene that takes place in Mallorca. The trailer gives us just a peek into this pivotal moment, and let’s be real—we’re already tearing up. What happens to Charlie afterward? Well, we’re bracing ourselves for the emotional rollercoaster that’s surely coming.

But don’t worry, this is Heartstopper, so not everything is heavy and dark. There’s plenty of color—literally and figuratively. The trailer shows parties, hangouts, and those happy moments we’ve come to adore. The essence of what’s made this show so beloved is still very much intact.
