Halsey features in Calvin Harris’ new song: ‘Stay With Me’

Calvin Harris is back with yet another summer banging tune and this time he has employed the likes of Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, and none other than Q+ Magazine all time fave, Halsey to help him bring summer to you radio waves everywhere. The song, titled Stay With Me oozes a 1970s retro vibe that is definitely designed to make you feel good and move to the beat.

The music video, which definitely also oozes that 1970s cosmic vibe mixed in with a little bit of beach time flare, is definitely worth checking out.

The music video opens with Halsey sporting an incredibly sexy, retro blue bikini that hugs her body in all the right places. Their curly hair, the earrings, their makeup – it’s all so on point for the brand and the vibe of the song. Justin Timberlake follows Halsey wearing a green jacket, then Pharrell follows him in a bright orange, very 70s looking jumpsuit and white rimmed sunglasses to boot.

Why Timberlake and Pharrell are sporting long pants and long sleeves that cover their body while Halsey is strutting around in a bikini is a bit lost on us – since it’s clearly supposed to be a summer vibin’ kind of song. But hey, we’re here for it and we’ll take it.

Stay With Me music video

There isn’t anything particularly memorable about the Stay With Me lyrics, but we do foresee folks driving around with their windows down and blasting this little summer song for the next couple of months.

Halsey has been on tour recently where they caused quite a bit of commotion addressing the country’s recently overturned Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision. At their show in Phoenix, Arizona on her Love and Power tour, Halsey used their platform on the stage to speak their mind on the issue.

“Here in Arizona, you guys got to promise me that you’re gonna do that work so that the person to left of you and the right of you has that right for the rest of their lives.”

They went on to say, “if you don’t like it, you can go home right now, I don’t care. If you don’t like it I don’t know why you came to a Halsey concert because I’ve never been shy and this is how I feel,” they said.

It was at this point that audience members took her advice and actually left the venue.

While Stay With Me has nothing to do with her political agenda, it’s a feel good summer song, and everyone needs a little something good in their lives right now.
