Grammy Nominations Spotlight: LGBTQ+ Artists in the Running for the 67th Grammy Awards
The Recording Academy just dropped the list of nominees for the 67th Grammy Awards, and we’re thrilled to see some amazing LGBTQ+ artists earning major recognition! Announced in a livestream event this Friday morning, the nominations were presented by none other than pop legend Kylie Minogue and current Best New Artist winner—and certified bi-icon—Victoria Monét. With the Grammy Awards set to air live on February 2, 2025, it’s safe to say this year’s ceremony is going to be unforgettable.
From Billie Eilish’s history-making nods to fresh faces like Chappell Roan, LGBTQ+ artists are staking their claim on Grammy gold across the board. Let’s take a look at some of the incredible queer talent recognized this year!
Billie Eilish has once again proven she’s a powerhouse, racking up seven Grammy nominations, including a historic nod for Album of the Year for her third consecutive album—a first in Grammy history! Billie’s nominations cover a range of top categories: Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance for Birds of a Feather; Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with Charli XCX for Guess. She also snagged a nod for Best Dance Pop Recording with L’AMOUR DE MA VIE [OVER NOW EXTENDED EDIT]. It’s another huge year for Billie, who continues to set records and redefine pop music.

Her hit single Good Luck Babe also got nods in Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Roan is also up for Best New Artist, joining an elite group of artists nominated in all four major categories (Album, Song, Record, New Artist) in a single year.
R&B sensation Kehlani scored three nominations: Best R&B Song for After Hours, Best Progressive R&B Album for CRASH, and Best Melodic Rap Performance for Kehlani REMIX. Kehlani’s work continues to push boundaries in the genre, and we’re thrilled to see her artistry celebrated.
