Fortune Feimster Is Back With a New Comedy Special! Netflix Drops a Sneak Peek of Crushing It! Ahead of December Premiere
Netflix just gave us a reason to smile today! The streaming platform dropped a sneak peek of Fortune Feimster’s third comedy special, Fortune Feimster: Crushing It!, which premieres globally on December 3, 2024. If you’re already a fan of Fortune’s signature wit and LGBTQ+ storytelling, this preview is all the proof you need that her new special will be an absolute riot.
In the nearly two-minute clip, Fortune hilariously recounts her mom’s very relatable reaction to meeting her then-girlfriend (now wife), Jax. Apparently, Fortune’s mom got a little jealous, playfully competing for her daughter’s attention. Buying Jax a scarf? “I like scarves too,” her mom would quip. And as if that wasn’t enough, Fortune spills the tea on how the overlapping birthdays of her mom and Jax—just five days apart—are her personal nightmare.
One of the most laugh-out-loud moments comes when Fortune reminisces about those early days of Facebook love declarations. For Jax’s birthday, she poured her heart out in a lengthy post, complete with an epic collage of 30 photos that took forever to put together. Five days later, when she simply called her mom to wish her a happy birthday (after sending her an edible arrangement!), her mom demanded to know: “Where’s my Facebook post?” What did Fortune do? She hilariously admits she unfriended her mom. Classic!
