Euphoria Season 3 Trailer Is Here—HBO Confirms April Premiere Date

Four years after Euphoria Season 2 first premiered and left us emotionally unwell, the moment we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. The Euphoria Season 3 trailer is officially here, and it didn’t come alone. HBO Max has also revealed that the long-awaited third season of the groundbreaking drama will premiere on Sunday, April 12, meaning it’s officially time to alert the group chat and clear our schedules. If the Euphoria Season 3 trailer is any indication, we’re heading straight back into chaos.

A lot has been said about Euphoria Season 3 over the years. Fan theories have been circulating nonstop, trying to piece together what could possibly come next for Rue (Zendaya), Jules (Hunter Schafer), and the rest of these deeply complicated characters. Back in December of last year, it was confirmed that Season 3 would jump five years into the future, moving the story firmly out of high school and into adulthood. Creator Sam Levinson also teased where some of the main characters would be emotionally and mentally in this new timeline, but the details were intentionally vague, making it hard to picture how this next chapter would unfold.

Now, with the Euphoria Season 3 trailer finally out in the world, things feel clearer… even if we’re still bracing ourselves for impact. The stakes appear higher, the tone darker, and the consequences heavier. Rue’s journey, in particular, feels more dangerous than ever, and we can’t shake the feeling that our girl might be walking a very thin line this season. The show’s exploration of addiction, identity, intimacy, and queerness still feels front and center, just reframed through the messiness of early adulthood.

HBO’s official logline for Season 3 reads: “A group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.” Subtle? Not exactly. Intriguing? Absolutely.

Season 3 of Euphoria is created, written, directed, and executive produced by Sam Levinson, and is produced in partnership with A24. The eight-episode season will premiere Sunday, April 12 (9:00–10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max, with new episodes debuting weekly. The series remains one of the most-watched shows in HBO’s history, with its first two seasons earning 25 Emmy nominations and nine wins.

Season 3 series regulars include Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Toby Wallace. Returning guest stars include Colman Domingo, Dominic Fike, Nika King, Alanna Ubach, Sophia Rose Wilson, Melvin Bonez Estes, Daeg Faerch, Paula Marshall, Zak Steiner, and Marsha Gambles.

New guest stars joining Euphoria Season 3 include Sharon Stone, ROSALÍA, Danielle Deadwyler, Marshawn Lynch, Anna Van Patten, Asante Blackk, Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, Christopher Ammanuel, Christopher Grove, Colleen Camp, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Eli Roth, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, James Landry Hébert, Jeff Wahlberg, Jessica Blair Herman, Justin Sintic, Kadeem Hardison, Kwame Patterson, Madison Thompson, Matthew Willig, Meredith Mickelson, Natasha Lyonne, Priscilla Delgado, Rebecca Pidgeon, Sam Trammell, Smilez, Trisha Paytas, Tyler Lawrence Gray, and Vinnie Hacker.

Visually, Euphoria Season 3 is also breaking new ground. The season was shot on a new KODAK motion picture film stock in both 35mm and 65mm, making it the first narrative television series to shoot a significant amount of 65mm film. The expanded image reflects the characters’ transition into a wider, riskier world beyond adolescence.

So now we want to hear from you. What did you think of the Euphoria Season 3 trailer? Are you excited, nervous, or already emotionally preparing for what’s coming next? Let us know. April 12 can’t come soon enough.
