Colton Underwood to Host New Hulu Reality Dating Series ‘Are You My First?’

Colton Underwood is headed back to reality TV, this time, with a whole new twist. Hulu has officially announced Are You My First?, a steamy, sun-drenched dating series hosted by Underwood and fellow Bachelor alum Kaitlyn Bristowe. The show premieres August 18 with all 10 episodes dropping at once, and it promises exactly what the title suggests: a wild ride with “the largest, hottest group of virgins ever assembled.”

Yes, you read that right.

Set on a dreamy tropical island, Are You My First? invites a cast of sexy, single virgins to explore intimacy, connection, and first-time experiences in a space built for discovery, not judgment. Think romantic dates, revealing challenges, and all the slow-burn tension of a classic summer fling, plus the added layer of these cast members navigating love and desire on their own terms. According to the official logline, they’re on a mission to find love…or at least their first.

For longtime followers of The Bachelor universe, Colton Underwood’s involvement brings things full circle. His initial breakout came on Season 14 of The Bachelorette, where he opened up about being a virgin—a confession that made headlines and followed him through Bachelor in Paradise and eventually The Bachelor Season 23, where he left dating Cassie Randolph. That relationship ended in turmoil, with Randolph filing a restraining order and alleging harassment.

But Underwood’s journey didn’t stop there. In 2021, he came out as gay, a moment that marked a major shift not only in his life but also in the public narrative around queerness and masculinity in reality TV. His coming out was documented in the Netflix series Coming Out Colton, followed by a memoir and the launch of a production company with his husband, Jordan C. Brown. Now, with Are You My First?, Colton returns to the genre that made him famous, this time, as an out gay man and seasoned producer.

While the show doesn’t appear to focus specifically on LGBTQ+ cast members, having Colton Underwood at the helm still matters. Queer visibility, especially in mainstream reality spaces like this one, makes a difference. And we’ll be watching closely to see how this new era of dating TV navigates intimacy, consent, and identity, with all the drama we expect from a Hulu binge.

Let the messy, heartfelt, and maybe even healing journeys begin.
