9-1-1 Season 8 Teaser Swarms The Internet

The wait is over! The much anticipated 9-1-1 season 8 teaser is here, folks! The much anticipated ABC drama is scheduled to return to screens on September 26, and it looks like a real doozy! The clip released on the Internet shows clear skies in Los Angeles, as usual, but the residents of the sprawling beachside city are faced with an invasive problem. Swarms of bees are occupying the area, and we can’t even begin to imagine how the team at the 118 is going to deal with this.

The season 8 teaser doesn’t show us much, but what we can tell you is that as the season opens, it appears that everyone is in complete disarray. According to the 9-1-1 X account, Bobby (Peter Krause) is being forced into retirement (gasp!) and ends up taking a job on a television set as a technical advisor. Buck (Oliver Stark) is having a hard time with the fact that Gerrard (Brian Thompson) is named as the new captain of the 118, replacing Bobby.

There’s a whole issue with Hen (Aisha Hinds) and Karen (Tracie Thoms), Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt), and Chimney (Kenneth Choi) as they fight for parenting rights in the face of a councilwoman trying to take them away. And Eddie (Ryan Guzman) isn’t coping well with his son’s move to Texas.

It all sounds like the drama we’ve come to expect and love from this show.

However, our eyes are definitely on Buck this season and watching his progression. Last season, for the first time ever, Buck entered a relationship with a man and his coming out caused quite the scene indeed. Inquiring queer minds are definitely wondering what they’re planning to do with his character this season.
